Exclusive design
The artwork is built around duality: opposites merge, become complementary and give rise to the great dance of existence. The front represents the tangible and intangible; the back, the ethereal and material, hot and cold; the sleeves, life and death. Cloud-like ornaments form the background, with earth below and sky above.
The name
In Nahuatl, “in tlilli in tlapalli” literally means “black ink, red ink”, but the expression holds a wider meaning: totality. Red is what we perceive; black is what lies beyond our senses. It is a metaphor for the visible and hidden, conscious and unconscious, light and darkness, life and death.
Placement print
Our shirts are made with placement prints: the artwork is developed directly on the garment pattern, so every graphic element sits precisely where it belongs, working with the seams and proportions. This complex process, usually reserved for luxury fashion, turns each shirt into a small artistic project.
